Just heard that Jim Turnbull has finished the cam/valve/new carb work on my 21-stud, and that the Special should be back with me on Monday. I’ll have some running-in to complete, but nothing too limiting, says Jim.
And Durham Restorations are close to finishing the tidying-up of the nose cone – which includes a new shade of paint. They’ve also done a bit of ally-bashing on a panel, to make accelerator usage a little less cramped. I’m on the edge of my seat… :
Tim.
I must keep up at the back, Ben… :D. Is Wiscombe Pk. the hillclimb course? Must also check out where the heck Wiscombe is. When the Special gets back on Monday, l have to reassemble the bodywork, re-install some instruments, the seats&c. and start running in [tho Jim reckons l don’t have to be too slow :)] and road-testing. For these l tend to blast down the A1 to Scotch Corner and back. Exciting times!
