Competition Models

Competition was at the heart of the Allard Motor Company – Subsequently, many Allard models were designed and built with competition in mind. Sydney Allard was a diverse and successful competition driver, proudly competing in cars bearing his own name, with remarkable competition successes in many motor-sport disciplines ranging from trials and hill climbs, to international rallying and racing events. Most notable of the Allard Motor Company’s International successes were a 3rd place at the 1950 Le Mans 24 hours race on the first attempt, and two years later an outright win in the 1952 Monte Carlo rally.

The demands of Sydney Allard’s quest for competition success, provided Allard customers with a range of well-proven, ‘race-ready’ Allard models with which they could carry on Allard’s sporting success for themselves. Even today, owners of competition Allard’s continue to add to the list of Allard successes in many historic events – proof in itself how serious Sydney Allard and his Company were when it came to competition.
