Tim got this car, a running project, in 2015. It remains just that, though it’s more sophisticated now(!), with extra instruments, modified cooling system, indicators, windscreen wipers, upholstered seatbacks and a Jim Turnbull uprated Bren-carrier engine (still a flathead 3.6L V8). 

Registered in Worcester in 1949, little is known of ‘Huey’s’ interim history until 1990, when it was discovered, in parlous state, by John Peskett and George Moore, who saved the earthly remains and the registration.

Roger Daniell built the lovely aluminium trials body, a la Sydney Allard. The rest of the car (chassis, axle [2-speed], suspension, radiator) is all Allard / Ford
