I am working on restoring my RHD J2 with Cadillac 331 engine, and a 1950 Oldsmobile transmission I sourced (which is effectively a short-tailed LaSalle). I have not been able to find a way to get the clutch fork arrangement to work.I made a shortened fork that exited on the right had side of the bell, but I can’t seem to get enough leverage to released the clutch. Going back to a full-length fork exiting on the left as stock), there is not enough room to put everything back in the car as it hits the support rail. I am looking for any reasonable suggestion on how to get this setup working, as it is the last major impediment before I can make real progress! I even made a cross-bar and brackets to allow the RHD pedal to get to the left had side fork, but would need to extend it past the rail also.
