ParticipantThank you Roger, Charles and Peter for your advice. After carefully checking i have found that the new master cylinder needs a longer travel than the original one. Time for more investigation and delicate adjustment.

ParticipantI read that PL is pasting negative comments on Alan’s new book without having seen a copy.
We should all be pleased that Alan and Lance’s book is now on sale and I say very well done to them for completing this lovely book which I am sure everybody will enjoy reading .
It casts new light on Sydney’s and his and his families successes and achievements which are interesting to read about.

ParticipantMine arrived yesterday and on first look it will be a very good read.
In these long days of lock down where 1 in 30 people in London have it, I will have the pleasure of a long read and look at the great pictures while keeping safe indoors.
Thank you Alan any your family and also Lance Cole for making this happen.

Apply for a R S National.
Pay £149 before the 20% is applied.
I expect the 20% discount is for those who had a license this year.
Happy New Year

I have had them seized in the past and I have made up an attachment which fits on to my grease gun which works every time.

I use 195/75/16 on the J1 and I find them very good.
When I got the car it had Dunlop RS cross plys 600/16 and I had violent wheel wobble despite being balanced.
The new ones are very good and smooth and give good grip at track days and up Prescott and the handling us very predictable. Buying £250 Blockleys seems a compete waste fot the use I gave the car.
On the L Type I have been using 185/75/16 Bridgestone’s for many years now and they have suited the car well despite looking a little under tyred. I can live with that.

ParticipantThese are great pictures of the Appleton Special again on Trial.
I hope the Appleton Special and the Red Potter J1 can competed again before too long.
