Purchased by the current owner in Michigan back in 1972 and put it in storage for 35 years. Then underwent a full restoration; powertrain changed from Ford Zephyr engine in the three speed transmission to a totally custom built 307 Chevrolet V8 mating to a Borg Warner five speed transmission. So that the owner could tour in the car, the 2 x 5 gallon saddle tanks were supplemented with a third gas tank of approximately 15 gallons. Air conditioning was also installed. During the engine change, inspecting the differential revealed that the gears were badly pitted from sitting for so many years so an entirely new rear axle was fitted complete with a gear ratio designed for highway travel. The entire interior was also replaced along with brand new gauges that were Stewart Warner. This car as well has brand new tires.
