First registered in New Zealand in 1952, last owner since 1974. The car was restored beautifully 20 years ago and has since been cared for, maintained and hillclimbed regularly. Remarkably strong flat-head with all the right performance parts and 3 speed transmission.UK registration currently with the DVLA.

1951 Allard P1 Saloon.SOLD
1951 P1 saloon fitted with a 3.9 litre Mercury 8RT/BA. Floor mounted gear change, Power Assisted (EZ fitted) steering, Summit wheels. New Spare tyre, others have covered less than 2000 miles. This car has been shown by SIHA at the main Essen Auto show
“Allard J2 1950. Chassis number 1570. Registration number MWE 254. Finished in period dark green with full leather trim. Fitted with newly rebuilt correct period Cadillac 331cu in ohv V8 giving circa 280 hp, coupled to an overhauled period Moss 4 speed gearbox.“.
“In 2001, J2X #2222 benefited from a body off total restoration and a 1961 Cadillac engine and Borg Warner 4 speed transmission were installed along with multiple coats of British Racing Green. From 2001 to 2010 J2X #2222 received 2 Best of Show awards, 7 First in Class Awards at Major New England Shows and Concours, The Lazarus Award from the Allard Owners Club, The Skitarelic Award at the Montgomery MD Airport Races Reunion, and many awards at local shows. The car also raced in a number of Pennsylvania Hillclimb Association events including the Historic Hershey Hillclimb. The car is the subject of a Chapter in Tom Cotter’s book “Cobra in the Barn” Since 2010 the car has been in Las Vegas NV and won awards in local shows and won the Barrett Jackson Choice Award“.

“All alloy body, fold-flat windscreen, 3.6L Ford flathead engine, 3-speed gearbox, Columbia 2-speed rear axle, Alfin brake drums (phase two), wire wheels, re-wired professionally with Allard wiring loom, (full lights). The car goes very well, well used last year (was taxed and MOT’d, 95% finished, i.e., interior a little spartan. All gauges work, etc., original registration”.
